Toolbox
The Toolbox is the set of tools used in 'Design' view to place controls on a form or report. Each tool name is displayed when the mouse pointer is placed over each tool. The Toolbox is sometimes described as the floating Toolbox or a movable palette. The Toolbox can be located anywhere while in 'Design' view, and can take many shapes. Dragging the Toolbox to the top of Access will cause it to take the shape of a long rectangle and it will be attached to the bottom of the 'Design' Toolbar.
The form must be in 'Design' view
To open the Toolbox in 'Design' view, do one of the following:
1) Select (single-click) the 'Toolbox' button located midway on the 'Form Design' toolbar. (The button appears depressed.)
2) Do the following from the menu:
a) Select the 'View' menu. (A drop-down menu appears.)
b) Select 'Toolbox'. (A check appears next to the word Toolbox.)
